I have lost many people from my life. Some are gone forever. Some might be gone forever. Some I thought were gone forever, but are back. As long as we're alive, we can make amends...in memory of those who don't have that option. Life is too precious to waste on petty disagreements. Or even pretty serious, non-petty ones. There's still time. Even when one person's loss is another's space.
Wrote this one in September 2001.
lyrics
LOSS (SPACE)
Sometimes I think that I can see you when I'm walking on the street/When I catch a face like yours among the countless people that I see/But I am left with tear-stained eyes/Looking through the autumn air for you/If only I had been there/Then I could have taken all this pain from you/But I know you'll find your way/And I know you'll find a place/Drifting softly into space/Half of me still cannot believe that what has happened is for real/I felt like I could keep you safe/But sometimes life just isn't what you feel/I will let you guide me through the hardest time that I have ever known/If leaving here could bring you back to live your life again/I would go/Let the starlight be your guide/Sailing slowly through the night/Getting lost in angels' eyes.
